Marina Dearnely returns to SLOT with a new body of digital works, mandalas, inspired by the urban scape and inner city graffiti. Measuring 50 x 50 cm, these digital inkjet prints are presented on canvas, their slick technology in contrast to the roots of traditional manadalas and their links to nature and the worlds religions.

Dearnley’s contemporary manadalas have the synthetic slickness of their digital medium, yet the spirit and punch of street graphic - not dissimilar to a D.J.’s sampling.
